En Grill & Bar, joins the ranks of En Japanese Dining Bar & Z'en Japanese Cuisine in Singapore spurring the opening of another outlet under the same name in Shanghai. A newest addition to the En group's domination of the Mohamed Sultan stretch and a very welcome one too. Next to En Japanese Dining Bar, the grill is a slicker space offering up grilled and deep-fried skewers as well as kushiyaki, robata-style and teppanyaki dishes.
The Japanese in particular, have an affinity with fire. The age-old tradition of Japanese grilled foods or Yakimono include skewered and grilled items.
Kushiyaki highlights comprising bite-sized pieces of meat skewered on bamboo sticks are also barbecued with premium charcoal, a necessity for the natural flavors to be enhanced. An extensive grilled selection is offered alongside unique Japanese influenced Pincho finger bites, and a full bar that carries a discerning variety of Sake, Shochu, Awamori, wine & spirits.
En Grill & Bar features three unique spaces: an open-concept kitchen and communal dining area, an elegant indoor lounge and an alfresco dining area with an outdoor bar to boot. The open-concept kitchen faces a long communal table that allows diners views of the chefs in their element, skillfully grilling meat in a display of culinary showmanship.
The lounge's gold-inspired designed wallpaper that adorns its cozy lounge interior with plush sofas promotes an exclusive use of space that reminds guests of a 'members-only' private club. A peek-a-boo wall along the adjacent corridor looks out into an outdoor alfresco bar area that should be a welcome respite from the urban, congested sprawl of city living.
