Mang Kiko's Lechon is a Filipino BBQ hawker that opened in Lau Pa Sat last year. It seems to be doing rather well and has spawned another branch over at the Youth Park. For those who are wondering, lechon is a Spanish for roast pork. Mang Kiko's Lechon has the same spit-style rotisserie grill commonly found in lechon manok (roast chicken) stores in the Philippines. You'll see whole chicken and thick slabs of liempo (pork belly) turning round and round over hot charcoal. It was a sight to behold. They also serve lechon baboy (roasted pig). Another good thing about Mang Kiko Lechon is the selection of sauces that they offer like sarsa/gravy, soy sauce and vinegar. Highly recommended dishes would be Roasted Chicken and Roasted Pork
Belly; however, due to its high demand, you have to get there and take
an early dinner otherwise you will either suffer from the long queue and
worse the food that you want to order is already out of stock.
