The Ivy faithfully recreates the feel of a British gastro pub. The downstairs bar has draft beers (including Guinness) and bar snacks, while the upstairs restaurant showcases modern European cooking. The Ivy KL is designed to look like a typical English Georgian townhouse with a balcony and chequered walkway flanked by black wrought iron gates. As you enter, you pass a small drawing room before coming to a large, imposing bar complete with bar stools. The Drawing Room is a cosy lounge with French doors opening out onto the al fresco section. A ?faux? fireplace create the perfect English setting. On the upper level, a homey dining room ambience overlooks the downstairs area. Music is laid back during Happy Hours and Dinner, after which the volume goes up, an ideal place to chill out and party.
The menu features traditionally English cuisine with some modern European influences. The Ivy serves classic English food like yokeshire pudding, steak & mushroom pie, roast beef and fish & chips, among others. Food is reasonably priced, there is equal emphasis on their dessert. There are also a wide array of wine and cigars to complement your dining experience. On a Sunday, you can get a full English breakfast or a good Sunday roast for lunch and dinner. Kitchen opens daily from 12 noon to 11.00pm, the bar until 2am on weekdays and 3am on weekends.
