Seryna Makati
Ambiance is cozy, with a low ceiling and interesting decor of rich wood and slate. The food's excellent. I've never met a sashimi I didn't like so it's a given that their sashimi platters would be delightful. The sukiyaki uses fresh top-grade ingredients. The uni (sea urchin) tempura is melt-in-your mouth, eyeballs-roll-up good. Service is tops! The server even discouraged us from ordering a second order of Sukiyaki unless we're sure we could finish the generous serving of the first one. She said she didn't want to see good food go to waste.
Banana Leaf Asian Cafe Makati
Originally, the Banana Leaf Curry House, It was reformatted and rebranded into the Banana Leaf Asian Cafe'. It is the place to go for moderate priced but authentic Pan Asian cuisine ? a mix of Indian, Indonesian, Malaysian, Vetnamese, Singaporean, Thai and Chinese. It is a franchise of Banana Leaf Curry House Limited in Hongkong.

Malacca Makati
Finally, a restaurant worth raving about after all the mediocre openings of "Malaysian-inspired" restaurants and the so-called fine dining places in Manila.
Most people would be familiar with Malaysian/Singaporean Favorites like Hainanese Chicken Rice, Curry Laksa, Char Kway Teow, Satay and Beef Rendang. Banana Leaf used to serve them and Toast Box serves a good Laksa that you should try. But having authentic Bak Kut Teh, Sambal dishes, Rojak and Fish Head Curry in the menu takes Malacca to a whole different level compared to its competitors.
The menu also specifies which ones ...
